Deleting your data
Ask, and it's gone.
Grumble is not open yet, so there is very little to delete and nobody to delete it for. This page says how it works anyway, because a page that appears the day someone needs it is a page nobody trusts.
There is no account to delete
Grumble has no sign-up, no password and no profile. Nothing is waiting to be closed. What exists is whatever came out of a reel you sent, and it is tied to the Instagram-scoped ID Meta gives us when you message: not to your name, your email, or your Instagram handle.
What gets deleted
- The record that you sent a reel, and the Instagram-scoped ID it was attached to.
- Every recipe and basket built from your reels.
- The funnel events recorded against them.
The video itself is never part of this, because it was never kept. It is read once and discarded in the same operation, the privacy page explains that.
What stays, and why
Corrections stay. When a match is wrong and somebody fixes it (this tin, not that one), Grumble remembers the fix so it stops being wrong for everyone. A correction is a fact about two grocery products. It carries nothing about the person whose basket revealed it, and it is not linked back to you.
If that distinction doesn't sit right with you, say so when you ask, and the corrections that came from your baskets go too.
How to ask
DM @go_grumble on Instagram, or email grumbleteam@gmail.com, and say you want your data deleted. If you email, send it from anywhere you like, but tell us the Instagram handle you messaged from, because that is the only way we can find what is yours.
No form, no account recovery, no reason required. We'll confirm when it's done. If we cannot find anything attached to you, we'll tell you that instead of quietly saying yes.
Creators
If you make reels and want yours excluded from Grumble entirely, that is a different request and a standing one. The creator page has it.
When this page changes
When the service opens, this page gets rewritten to describe what actually happens then, rather than what it is designed to do now. It is a plain description, not a contract and not legal advice.
